New Things In Motor Grader Wings



Snow season 2008 has Craig Manufacturing working on some exciting new snow gear packages for this year's new equipment. Starting things off, Craig had the chance to work with Deere on a prototype of their new "872 G Series" motograder. In the late winter, engineers and product representatives from both Craig and Deere put the new grader through it's paces using a 301 wing package running an experimental Craig moldboard.

This season also showed the first 16' all-hydraulic wing for the Caterpillar 16M. Used in conjunction with the factory moldboard, this package offers over 22 feet of cleared path with the hydraulic extendable push pole at its full reach.

EXB-QF Craig Quik-Fill Excavator Buckets

With its low profile design, curved cheek plates and active attack angle the Craig Quik-Fill bucket is designed to minimize surface friction and maximize cycle time efficiency when loading and unloading the bucket.

The lengthened shell floor promotes smooth loading and unloading with minimal wasted movement. Instead of using breakout force to fill the bucket by curling the attachment, the Quick-Fill bucket is designed to be pulled towards the machine shaving material into the bucket in a smooth motion. This motion eliminates partial fills and excess spillage while also leaving the bucket closer to the open position to allow quicker dumping of the material.
