Ever since we first released the widely popular electric over hydraulic joystick controls for our wheel loader 301 wing assemblies, we've been keenly aware that even though the electric system is solid, it's important that there be a physical fail-safe to allow the operator to actuate the wing even if they loose electrical power to the valve. Just like a lever operated 4X4 transfer case on a pickup, our manual override gives you the extra confidence that even in a worse case scenario you'll be able to continue operating.

That said, like a 4x4 truck, if you don't use it, you may loose it. Just like 4x4 linkages can become stiff or frozen if not used, the manual override, if not actuated every so often and treated with a penetrating corrosion inhibiting lubricant, may become sticky or seized eventually compromising the day to day electric-over-hydraulic operation of the wing. Given this, with the machine turned off we suggest operating and lubricating the manual override once a month even when the wing is not installed. Doing so will ensure years of trouble-free operation.
