Vice President of Canadian Sales and Operations – Hartland, NB

Reporting to the President, the Vice President of Canadian Operations at Craig Manufacturing is a member of the executive management team and is responsible for the leadership and execution of our strategic plan to grow revenue and deliver excellence in product and services for our Canadian operations. These operations include multiple branches, with their associated distribution/service staff and sales teams. The core responsibility will be to lead and direct our Canadian sales and branch teams targeting OEMs, equipment dealers and support end users across Canada. The position oversees daily sales and branch activity, meets with major clients, designs new and effective sales strategies and manages operations in our Cambridge and Blackfalds branches.

    • Strong skills with Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook – experience with Epicor is considered an asset

  • Responsibilities:
    • Develop strategies to grow the business and achieve company goals
    • Creating and maintaining a culture of continued success and goal achievement
    • Manage branch sales, operations, and resources to deliver profitable growth
    • Ensure key accounts are properly managed and structured for success
    • Consistent travel for in-person meetings with customers, between Craig offices, and to partners to develop key relationships
    • Hire and develop sales and branch staff
    • Define and oversee sales staff compensation and incentive programs
    • Define and coordinate sales training programs
    • Ensure a high level of customer satisfaction
    • Implement infrastructure and systems to support all branch functions
    • Provide detailed and accurate sales and budgetary forecasting
    • Monitor customer, market, and competitor activity and provide feedback to company leadership
    • High level dispute and conflict resolution
    • Work closely with marketing to establish successful campaigns and programs
    • Manage key customer relationships and participate in closing strategic opportunities
  • Experience:
    • Proven and successful track record in the sales and marketing sector (15+ years) that includes both managing a sales and support organization as well as operations management with full P&L responsibility
    • Successful experience building and executing sales plans in the heavy equipment sector
    • Successful experience building and executing sales plans that include equipment, parts, and service sales
    • Proven record growing profitability
    • Closing large opportunities
    • Monitoring and evaluating team members against stated and documented expectations
    • Managing key customer relationships and closing strategic opportunities
    • Hiring and on-boarding a diverse group of team members
    • Proven success in a medium sized company environment
    • Providing status reports with market and customer feedback to the corporate leadership team
  • Education:
    • Bachelors degree in Engineering, Finance, Marketing, Business or proof of relevant work experience
    • Masters in Finance, Marketing, or Business is considered an asset
